Sad to say that my senior year is coming to an end, but on the bright side, my blog is just beginning. What better way to start off my blog than to talk about prom?
This would be my third and last prom. My school has Jr. and Sr. prom because we are such a small school. I also went to my boyfriends’ senior prom last year (he is one year older than me). All of my past dresses have been very fitted so I wanted to switch things up. My school does have a very strict dress code so I was limited to what my options were. This is a dress you should consider if you’re looking for budget-friendly, pretty, and modest. My absolute favorite color is blush pink so without a doubt, I picked a blush pink dress. It’s so flattering and makes your waist look TINY! I’m obsessed with the mix of materials at the top and skirt of the dress.
The best thing is that it’s under 200$! I got a size 6… it does run true to size.
Since I’m 5’2 the only alteration needed was to hem it at the bottom. I got 3 inches cut off of the bottom because it was too long, it worked out perfectly.
Let’s talk Shoes
I paired this dress with a flat sandal, not just any sandal… a Valentino dupe (linked here)
I’ve had these shoes for 2 years and they still look new. Unfortunately, the shoes I wore are no longer being sold. I found a couple of similar (linked here) ones to share though.
I prefer sandals at dances when wearing a long dress because you end up taking your shoes off anyway. If you can’t see your feet with the dress on then why bother.
